Chap. 9 HISTORY CLASS
When I got to my locker it was still open and nothing was taken from it. Markus helped me pick up my books. Then we headed to the bathroom Markus waited for me outside whilst I freshened up. When I got out the bathroom I was looking as fly as I did inside the morning. Surprisingly I didn?t have any marks or bruises on me. Markus is so funny. When we got to my class I was ten minutes late but it didn?t matter care, cause I had a blast walking to class with Markus. When I got inside the classroom all I could do was smile cause Markus just made me so happy being with him. Then I realized that I was back to the real world. 1 of the reasons I now hate history class is cause its full of my enemies. Renee, Fred, Mariah, and miss Paulsen our history teacher.
Miss Paulsen-you better have a pass Miss. Moress
Maiah- umm? nope I don?t.
Miss Paulsen- then what?s your excuse this time for disrupting class.
Maiah-I don?t have an excuse.
Renee- miss Paulsen shouldn?t you write her up for being late.
I look more than at Ren?e who has on this fake smile and innocent look on her face. She cleaned up pretty excellent, but her face still showed some of the marks she got from our fight.
Miss Paulsen-thank you miss Ren?e but I don?t need to be told how to do my job.
I couldn?t help but smile (ha ha ha dumb ass) that shut her up.
Miss Paulsen- just go take a sit Maiah and don?t let this take place once again.
Maiah-oh I won?t.
I said walking to my seat and sitting down.
Miss Paulsen- now class put your books away had been going watch a historical movie. And right after, all of you need to pass in a three, page essay about this movie with facts included by the end of class.
Now you see why I hate her. This gets even better
Miss Paulsen- it is possible to all thank Maiah for this lovely assignment.
Everyone turned about and gave me their evilest looks. I just gave them what they gave me back.
Maiah-what the hell are ya?ll looking at. Turn about and get started with your work.
I was still heated from this mornings little work out and I guess everyone senses that I am too, cause aint nobody said nothing back to me. They all just turned around and open their notebooks and took out there pencils. I?m kinda glad to cause I?m not up for another fight. I need me some peace.
Miss Paulsen-can you get the lights Mariah.
Mariah-why I gotta get the lights cant someone else do it.
Now the entire class is quit and shocked by the outburst by Mariah.
Miss Paulsen-miss. O?Neal I asked you, so unless you want detention get up and do as I say. Now do you understand what I?m saying or do I have to speak slower for you.
Now that?s just messed up. How come teachers be putting students in check and you’ll be able to?t tell?em to go to the office, but when a student puts a teacher in check they get sent to the office. This aint fair. She didn?t have to put my girls business out like that. Mariah looks like she?s about to cry, but she gets up anyways and closes the lights. I aint gonna sit here and watch this. Just when I?m about to raise my hand, Mariah walks by and places and note on my desk. Miss. Paulsen?s busy setting up the video so I?m safe,

Maiah I?m so sorry. Ur my BFFL, I never meant to hurt u like that. I no I hurt but it wasn?t intentional. I feel Ur pain Maiah I do, but a different kind of pain the pain of losing my closest friend. I feel so bad about what I did. I tried to tell you so a lot of times he was cheating, but I just couldn?t do it cause I didn?t wanna hurt you, I knew how you felt about him. I hope you forgive me. Cuz I don?t wanna lose you as a friend. I promise to tell you if your man is cheating on you if I no about it. Please forgive me.

I could feel a tear fall on the side of my face. I look back at Mariah who?s looking down at her notebook. Then I look up front to see if miss Paulsen?s looking. She not she?s to busy reading vibe to care what?s going on in class correct now. I write a quick note, get Mariah?s attention and have the kid behind me a cute junior named Ricky who?s also Iverson high?s star varsity basket ball player, pass it back to Mariah. I turn about and wait for her response.
